NetJets aircraft technicians and related employees represented by the Teamsters Airline Division and Teamsters Local 284 have launched a multi-location informational picketing campaign to publicize their dispute over the company’s refusal to pay industry standard wages and massive levels of subcontracting of aircraft maintenance. Informational picketing began on Friday at Don Scott Airport at Ohio State University in Columbus.

Months after an ABX Air pilot strike grounded flights for DHL and Amazon for two days, ABX pilots and the airline, owned by Air Transport Services Group (ATSG), reached a settlement agreement that returns the pilots’ right to take compensatory days off after they are forced to work on their off days to cover flights due to staffing shortages.
The Southwest Material Specialists Negotiating Team, comprised of Teamster Airline Division International Representatives, local union business agents and rank-and-file committee members have reached an agreement in principle to amend their current collective bargaining agreement with Southwest Airlines.
On November 22nd, the ABX Pilots and your Union, the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Airline Division (IBT) and its affiliated local, Teamsters Local 1224 (collectively, the Union) commenced a lawful strike against ABX. Local 1224 and the ABX Pilots established primary picket lines against ABX at CVG and ILN.
The union Negotiating Committee met with the Company for bargaining the week of October 10th, and presented management with proposals covering Article 1 (Recognition), Article 16 (Holidays), Article 17 (Insurance and Other Benefits), Article 25 (Sick Days) and Article 33 (Wages). Refusing to accept management demands for economic and work rule concessions, they also resubmitted all other outstanding proposals.
