How would my job security be affected by the merger under a Teamster contract?

Teamster airline contracts have the strongest “scope” language in the airline industry. Scope language defines what work is done and who has the right to do it and is at the core of job security. Under the IBT/RJET flight attendant contract the company can’t outsource, subcontract or replace the flight attendants on our seniority list. And Frontier flight attendants will have that same protection once the integration is complete. Strong scope language is the single most important component of a contract because it protects jobs.

The AFA has very weak scope language in its contract for Midwest flight attendants—there is no protection for flight attendants against code-sharing that takes away jobs. Frontier flight attendants should insist upon a union that will fight to protect jobs.
