Brothers and Sisters,

It is with deep regret that we must inform you that ExpressJet did not prevail in their quest to generate additional flying from United Airlines. Those of you who stuck it out through the 2008-2017 concessionary period, you are commended. Your phenomenal work ethic and dedication to your craft provided ExpressJet with a superior product throughout that entire time. The company never appreciated that, and even prior to COVID-19 continued to negotiate for wages that were less than the industry standard.

Below are Letters of Agreement between American Airlines, the Communications Workers of America (CWA) and Teamsters Local 104 regarding the Special Voluntary Early Out Program and extended voluntary leaves of absence for Customer Service Representatives (CSRs).

We are also inviting our Frontline Team Members to participate in informational sessions to learn more about our VEOP/VLOA programs. The meeting will be hosted by Laura Dove from the People Team. To access the virual sessions, use the information below:

The Federal Aviation Administration has given US airlines permission to remove passenger seats to make room for freight on cargo-only flights, entering a one-year regulatory exemption and extending until July 2021 a similar exemption allowing airlines to strap cargo into seats.
