Brothers and Sisters,
The IBT International Negotiating Team met on 7/11, 7/25 and 7/26 to begin putting together the framework of what will be your first Teamster Contract. Using the survey results as a basis we were able to make good progress. We anticipate one more meeting to complete the framework and then we will bring in the Rank and File negotiating committee members as well as subject matter experts to help craft language representative of your needs. Once we have prepared our documents we will schedule meetings with the company’s negotiators and begin bargaining.
We are excited to be moving forward and appreciate your continued support as we negotiate your first contract.
