Support Aviation Workers and Extend the Payroll Support Program

Dear Senator: On behalf of the undersigned labor organizations representing aviation employees, we urge you to include a clean extension of the airline Payroll Support Program (PSP) in the next phase of COVID-19 relief legislation.


The Federal Aviation Administration has given US airlines permission to remove passenger seats to make room for freight on cargo-only flights, entering a one-year regulatory exemption and extending until July 2021 a similar exemption allowing airlines to strap cargo into seats.


Re: Reduced Schedule Discussions

Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Prior to today's town hall meeting with United Airlines a pre call with your Business Agents took place. There was discussion of voluntary reduced schedule hours on the call. Further the company claimed there was an agreement with IBT leadership that this process could be implemented. That is just not true. 


(WASHINGTON) – At the request of the pilots at Allegiant Air, Teamsters General President James P. Hoffa and the Teamsters General Executive Board approved the formation of Teamsters Local 2118. There are over 1,100 pilots who will be members of the union which will be headquartered in Las Vegas.
