(INDIANAPOLIS) – Flight Attendants of Republic Airways, Inc., who are represented by Teamsters Local 135 ratified a Letter of Agreement (LOA) that secures the jobs of over 800 flight attendants who were slated to be furloughed beginning October 1. This agreement is in effect until March 31, 2021 and protects the workers whether there is an extension of the CARES ACT or not.
Five-Year Contract Provides Major Improvements in Wages, Benefits
(INDIANAPOLIS) – Teamsters Local 135 and Republic Airline announced today that they reached a tentative agreement on terms of a new five-year contract for the roughly 2,100 Republic flight attendants represented by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
(BLAINE, Minn.) – By an over four-to-one ratio, Teamster flight attendants at Sun Country Airlines ratified a mid-contract wage reopener that will increase their wages. There are more than 475 workers in the bargaining unit.
Negotiations with the company over the course of the past 11 months resulted in an agreement that will pay flight attendants between $5.05 and $10.05 more per hour over the next three years.
(WASHINGTON) – The International Brotherhood of Teamsters, Teamsters Airline Division and Teamsters Local 120 have invoked a provision written into a 2014 Letter of Agreement with Sun Country Airlines after the company employed stall tactics at the bargaining table during a critical juncture of contract negotiations with Teamster flight attendants last week.
The provision, which takes the matter to the National Mediation Board, is intended to stop delay tactics by the company and ensure that negotiations remain serious and substantive.
The Teamsters Airline Division and Teamsters Local 135 prevailed in the Midwest Seniority Integration Arbitration on November 18, when labor arbitrator Homer C. La Rue found the Teamsters’ proposal to be the most “fair and equitable” method to integrate Republic and former Midwest flight attendants.
