(PURCHASE, N.Y.) – Holding signs reading “Our Families Deserve Better” and “Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Pilots Ready to Strike,” pilots from major DHL and Amazon contractor Atlas Air are protesting outside the Purchase headquarters of their airline’s holding company, Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings (AAWW), to demand company executives stop denying them of a fair, industry-standard contract. This week marks the current contract’s amendable date – the date pilots are due a new contract by management.
(FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla.) – Pilots from Kalitta Air, a DHL contractor, are protesting in Fort Lauderdale today to tell Kalitta executives and DHL that they are united and ready to strike. The pilots are joined in solidarity by pilots from other North American DHL contractors – Atlas Air, Southern Air, Polar Air and ABX Air.
More than three years after bargaining, Allegiant Airlines pilots represented by Teamsters Local 1224 have reached a tentative agreement on their first union contract with the airline on Tuesday, June 21, 2016. Teamsters and company negotiators have agreed to meet the week of June 27 to finalize the contract language. There are more than 700 pilots in the bargaining unit.

Through its Atlas Air, Inc. and Polar Air Worldwide Cargo, Inc. subsidiaries, AAWW is DHL’s largest American contractor.
(WILMINGTON, Ohio) – After more than five years of negotiations for a new labor agreement with Kalitta Air, LLC, the cargo airline based in Ypsilanti, Michigan, the union representing its pilots and flight engineers informed the National Mediation Board (NMB) that further mediation efforts would be fruitless and counterproductive.
As Deutsche Post DHL prepares for its annual shareholder meeting in Germany this week, American pilots who fly worldwide for the logistics company announced the results of a recent vote to authorize their union to call a strike if necessary. Pilot support across all five of DHL’s North American network carriers – Atlas, Southern, Polar, ABX and Kalitta – is nearly unanimous.
(ST. LOUIS) – On Sat., Mar. 5, Teamster pilots voted to approve a new, five-year contract at GoJet Airlines by a nearly 2-to-1 margin. There are over 520 members in the bargaining unit covered by the agreement.
The pilots will see significant quality of life improvements in this contract, including the implementation of a commuting policy where all lodging expenses will be paid for by the company. Pilots will also see a major increase in scope of the work rules and grievances protections.
(WASHINGTON) – The International Brotherhood of Teamsters Airline Division has sent a “Section 6 Notice” to OneSky, LLC parent company of fractional share airlines Flight Options and Flexjet on behalf of the pilots represented by the union at those air carriers.
Under the Railway Labor Act, the filing of notice on Feb. 24 signals the Teamsters’ intent to commence negotiations to unify all the pilots of both air carriers under a single collective bargaining agreement.
The International Brotherhood of Teamsters joined with IBT Local 357 and Republic Airways Holdings, Inc. to file a joint motion in federal district court in Indiana to dismiss all legal actions concerning the “Flight Pay Loss” dispute and other disputes that arose during the trusteeship of Local 747, which occurred in April 2009.
